Following numerous rumors surrounding NVIDIA's cheapest GeForce 9-series graphics cards, the Santa Clara-based chip maker has finally decided to officially release the 9400GT. As expected, a number of the company's board partners have already announced their own versions of the card, which means that users will soon be able to purchase it from their local resellers/retailers. As mentioned in one of our articles of yesterday, the new GeForce 9400GT has been designed to meet the requirements of entry-level users, while keeping the price tag down to a minimum. According to NVIDIA, the new card will retail for prices as low as $59, while offering features such as HD Video, NVIDIA's PhysX and CUDA technologies, and support for Microsoft's DirectX 10 and OpenGL 2.1, which translates into a smooth Windows Vista experience and even certain gaming capabilities.
