Resident Evil 5 Developers Talk About Horror in the Daytime

Resident Evil is one of the most popular horror survival franchises of games out there, largely due to the fact that it immerses players into a distinct experience that offers quite a lot of thrilling and scary moments. Most of these terrifying moments are accentuated by the dark atmosphere provided by the nighttime setting. You always need to pay attention to the dark corners of streets or buildings because there is always something that might appear from these parts. The dim flashlight is your most trusted ally in these conditions and it could always help you prevent a pretty scary encounter with one of the zombies from the game. But now it seems that the latest game in the franchise, the upcoming Resident Evil 5, will be different, as most of the action of the title will take place during the day. Jun Takeuchi, the producer of the game, and Yasuhiro Anpo, the director of this title, have recently talked about this new twist on the Resident Evil franchise with 1up. They went on saying that the daytime setting offered the development team new challenges in terms of recreating the same horror atmosphere.
